Returning to Exodus

I have been snacking.
By that I mean, rather than doing “serious reading”, I’ve just been hitting a chapter or two here and there… or not reading at all.

Today though, I went back at it. I picked up where I had left off (Exodus 8). On the way, I looked over what I had read last time. This served two purposes. One, it helped me remember where I was in the book. Two, it put me “in the frame of mind” in the sense of what has happened in the story.

This took me through chapter 7, where the famous scene with the snakes happens.  Have you ever read it and wondered..
“When Aaron’s snake went back to being a staff, was it just a little fatter from eating the other snake-staffs?”
